I'll take the blame but that won't heal your scars

Usually, I dread having to go to my sculpture class [because my teacher is a self absorbed jerk], but today for some reason, I was actually in a good mood about it.
Granted, it didn't last long.

We've been working on the same project for about three weeks, and my teacher decides to tell me today that he doesn't understand my concept or my drawings, and that I basically need to abandon my idea, and do what he tells me to do or I'm not going to get a good grade be successful.

I realize that most of you haven't met me, but if you've been around long enough, you can probably tell that I have a pretty bad temper. I've been working on it, and I like to think I've gotten tremendously better, but I was about 2 seconds away from going off on him.

He could see that he was upsetting me, and he just kept on and on, until one of my friends was like, 'I think you should stick with your original plan' and my teacher just looked at her and walked away.

First of all, even though the teacher gave us guidelines, we have free reign over what we do as long as it follows the guidelines.

Second, yea, I am a student, but I'm not JUST a student. I'm an artist. And, I'm not going to let someone dictate the way I compose a piece.

I mean, if he has this great idea, why can't he do it himself and leave me and MY art alone?

*sigh*

In other news...
My painting teacher is still stuck on us painting like the renaissance.
It's kind of annoying, and kind of interesting, all at the same time.
