Tell them that she's not scared

Remember last week when I said that I was going to make myself read at least 30 minutes a day?

Well, it worked. Some days I even got sucked in and read for an hour or two. I actually finished one book and am about 80 pages into another one already.

My new goal is to exercise at least 30 minutes a day. It sounds good, in theory...but don't hold your breath, okay? haha

So far we have 6 people signed up for the Blogger Mail Swap. That's a good start, but it would be more fun with more people. Tell all your friends!

And today, I'll leave you with lyrics that are touching my heart this week:

& I'm twenty three & invincible
Got the world figured out
& the bird on my shoulders
Told me everything's gonna be all right
When is everything gonna be all right?

Memory Lane, Pt 1

After Sara did her post about her 'early' years, I decided to look through my old photo album. There were a few times where I literally laughed out loud, so I decided to share them with you, too.

Nanny always tried to dress my sister and I in these ridiculous poofy dresses and HUGE hair bows.

One year, She decided to buy me this "Dolly Parton" dress. Annnnnnd she made me wear it for every occasion.

At some point, she let me start dressing myself. Which turned out to be not much better. haha

I remember when I had to get glasses. Nanny thought I was just saying that I couldn't see so I could get them because my friends kept having to get them. This was not the case. I mean seriously, do you think I actually wanted to wear those hideous things?!

Tomorrow, we'll take a journey through my high school years.
Do you have any embarrassing school photos? If so, please share! [This means you, Matt.]

To twitter, or not to twitter?

That is the question.

Being so adamant about staying away from trends and then caving in is the story of my life. Current trend I may become a victim of: Twitter.
So, people of the blogging world, what is your opinion.
Should I join twitter, or stay away?
Help me please :)

Anyways, 4 days until the Paramore/No Doubt concert; 16 days until the Taking Back Sunday concert. I am freakishly excited. And who better to go with than my bff Jill Matt?
While I'm counting down, I'll go ahead and say that I only have 25 days until I'll be in Oklahoma watching Aaron graduate from Basic. :)

Hope you guys have a great week!

Fear will hold you back If you believe in that

Oh, what a weekend! First of all, Happy Easter, Everyone!

Aaron and I headed up to Auburn on Friday afternoon for what we thought would be an eventful weekend. And we were not disappointed. I dropped Aaron off at his friend's apartment, and headed over to Matt and Frisco's place. We played a little Kung Fu Panda, and then headed out to Tiger Town for dinner. It was such a beautiful day, that none of us were expecting the Tornado warnings. We sat in the garden section of Target with a lot of strangers while waiting for the storm to pass. Eventually, we got tired of sitting there, and decided to ride out the storm together. It was seriously the scariest 10 minutes of my life. But we made it home safe.

Saturday was a whole different ball game. We chilled all morning, then got ready to go shopping. When I got in my car, I saw a note on the windshield. A guy hit my car, but didn't have time to stick around, so he left his name and number. I was automatically in a bad mood.

I don't even want to hear 'it's not that bad', because to me, it is.

Luckily, the guy who hit my car was a stand up guy. He did the right thing, we called the cops, and got it all settled.

Shopping was kind of a bust. I did get my watercolors, but couldn't find my choxie. The rest of the night was pretty good; made taco salad for the guys, caught up with an old friend, watched the video of our senior year of high school, and made cookies.

Did I mention temp tats?
Yea...

Yep.
The Giraffe got one, too.
