So, where did I leave off....?

Oh yea, I was refraining myself from complaining.

On to the rest of the trip!

Thursday morning started bright 'n early for me at 6 am! I needed plenty of time to get beautiful for Aaron. Around 8 am I realized that I didn't put on sunscreen before I put my make up on, and I started freaking out. Lucky me, though. Instead of just being stuck in the sun for 3 hours, they were nice enough to put the seats under these mesh tent things! I didn't get sun burnt :) Aaron was a part of this skit 'What your soldier looked like on the first day of basic'. It was pretty hilarious.

There were a few other skits, a few speeches from the drill sergeants, and a presentation to one of the soldier's little brother, who was there on behalf of the make a wish foundation.

Then we had to wait while the soldiers changed into their class B uniforms, and had to watch the drill sergeants pick on them.

Those are BCG's [birth control glasses, HA!]

Then the fun began! Yep, a whole 8 hours with Aaron....[& his family].

He was able to change into his civilian glasses, yay! We went to the local mall, which was just as small as the mall I'm used to going to.

For dinner, we went to Outback for Aaron's first GOOD meal in 3 months. ANNNND before we knew it...it was time for us to take him back to base.

Friday was Aaron's graduation. I cannot express how proud I am of him. The graduation went by so fast, please excuse the blur!

After graduation, Aaron had to immediately report back to base to begin out-processing from basic, and in-processing to AIT. I was sad, because I didn't think I'd get to see him again before we left...but I was wrong :) Around 5 pm He called saying that his AIT instructors gave his platoon a weekend pass. AKA HE DIDN'T HAVE TO GO BACK TO THE BASE UNTIL SUNDAY NIGHT! YA! We picked him up asap, went to dinner, and then settled in for the night. Originally, we were supposed to leave to come back to Alabama early Saturday morning. We decided to stay an extra day!

We went to see Transformers 2, which was good, but verrrry long. Ate at a not so good chinese buffet, and then headed back to the hotel to swim.

Sunday morning came too soon. I hated saying good bye to my bear, but I did it; without tears.

Also said good bye to Oklahoma.

It was a beautiful place.

And now all I have left to look forward to is moving into the new apartment [July 31st] & Aaron's homecoming [August 9th]. Starting now I am welcoming change and adventures.

I...

Would really like to vent, but that is probably, most likely, noooot a good idea.

Especially if someone I don't want to find my blog finds it AND reads it.

UGH!

Finally Free

I know I said I wasn't going to update until I got home, but I was afraid I might forget! So, I'll update now while I'm sitting at the hotel IN FT. SILL with nothing to do :)

Yesterday's drive pretty much sucked. We were supposed to leave Ozark at 9 am, but because of constant communication between my MIL and the rental car company, we didn't leave until 12 pm. We were also supposed to be renting a Dodge Charger, and 30 minutes before we were to go pick it up, they inform us that there aren't any chargers at the rental stations in southern Alabama. Thanks, guys!

After filling up the gas tank, and stopping for a quick trip to WalMart, we finally headed out. I was the GPS [ha] for the trip. My BIL sat in the back asleep for the majority of the ride, and I had to stay awake, watching road signs.

Around 8:30 we pulled into a Shreveport, LA hotel for the night. It was not good sleep, but it was decent sleep, and had the crappiest continental breakfast ever! [What? No Donuts?!] MIL asks me if I have ever taken ecstacy. Seriously, have you ever met me? Hugs, not Drugs. & then she asks me if x is illegal. HA. Not quite sure where that came from, but moving on....

First of all, I would like to say, that I DO NOT get how you guys that live in big cities do the whole traffic thing. I commend you.

Got back on the road around 8:30 am. and immediately, got lost. NOT because of me, thank God. BIL was driving. Did I mention he's 17? Yea. It was quite possibly one of the scariest experiences of my life. But I prayed almost the entire time, and we made it through. MIL started driving again, and then BIL's scary experience was forgotten. Her's was way worse today. At this point, we were coming up on Dallas/Ft. Worth. I hope someone reading this knows what I'm talking about and how terrible it was. I get extremely stressed out in high traffic areas. We miss an exit, and instead of listening to me, and turning around, we continue going [the opposite direction] for about 20 minutes, until 'Oh, I think we are on the wrong road'. HA. We finally get back on the right track, and MIL is going 72 in a 60. We get pulled over, but the officer is nice enough to realize that we obviously have no clue what we are doing, so he points us in the right direction and off we go. No ticket. Thanks guy! 3 hours later we arrived in Ft. Sill. In a crappy hotel, that wasn't cheap. Oh welllllllllll. Now I'm sitting here on pins and needles, waiting for the time to come that I FINALLY get to see my bear. [9 am TOMORROW! ha]

Tomorrow, Tomorrow....

Hello Dear Friends!

This time tomorrow I will be on the road to Oklahoma!! It's such a long drive [16.5 hours] that we're splitting it into two days. I'll finally get to see Aaron for the first time in almost 3 months on Thursday. Hope you all have a good week! I'll update again when I get home :)

Patron Saint of Lost Cause...

Last night was my first time going to a gay club, and I must say....I had a blast!

My friends from work invited me out, so I went.

Ran into my old friend David, who I found out was performing in the talent show. If you can't tell, I was super excited.

I was approached by a man who asked me if I was gay, straight, or bi. I told him I was straight, engaged in fact. He was sad, because he said his friend sent him over because she wanted to get with me. HA. The rest of the night, Sabrina pretended to be my girlfriend so we wouldn't have to worry about anyone else.

Pam & Misty were jealous, so they became g/f's, too.

This was our 'special' friend haha

Our special friends and Liz

Us and David

The Show....

I've heard of fire crotch, but never diamond crotch...

My friends really know how to break it down ;)

Hello Friends!

So much has been going on lately! This is probably going to be a big [picture] update. Beware :)

A few weeks ago was the Paramore/No Doubt concert. It was amazing:

Then my nephew turned 1!

And this I had made to show the world how proud I am of MY MAN :)

That's all!! Good night :)

Why don't you say so...

Dear Blogger Friends,
Please forgive me for being gone all the time. I tried to catch up today. But it's hard to do when I don't have internet at home [for now]. Anyways, I'm at work, and just wanted to take a few minutes to post--just so you all didn't think I fell off the face of the earth.

Here's my Friday 5 (idea taken from Boredom's Bounty)

1. What’s something you will not eat unless you also have ketchup?
I'm more of a mayonaisse girl.

2. What’s something you will not drink unless it is served on ice cubes?
I will not drink anything if it isn't ice cold....except hot chocolate.

3. What’s something you will not eat unless it is served between slices of bread?
Meat loaf :)

4. What’s something you will not drink unless you have a straw?
Anything from fast food or restaurants. I must have a straw!

5. What’s something else you will not eat except under very specific circumstances?
Lasagna

You sure have changed since yesterday

Remember when I told you all that I was going to see Paramore & No Doubt in concert soon?
Well, tonight was the night. [or last night, for those of you who are normal and actually went to bed]
Anyways, I am extremely exhausted, but I could NOT wait to post this. Not only did I laugh while filming this, I also laughed out of control while watching it several times. Maybe it was just the lack of sleep talking.

Judge for yourself.

Apparently He's just a girl.

There's more to come, so keep an eye out. We were pretty far away, so the pictures didn't turn out too great, but I had an amazing time. Hope some of you are as lucky as we were and get to go to one of their shows!

Explain to me.......

I've come to the conclusion that I am not signing up with Twitter. Sorry guys!

Also, could someone please explain this to me?:
All day yesterday I called and called to set up an appointment for my yearly girl check-up. No answers. All day? I was getting so frustrated.
So, I tried again first thing this morning (they open at 8). Still nothing.
Around 9am, I called again. Finally, I got the 'operator'. As I said before, I was frustrated, So I said (in a very nice tone, mind you) 'I've been trying to call for the past couple of days.' AND SHE YELLED AT ME! She said, 'Well first of all, we weren't open over the weekend, and yesterday was a Holiday.' I looked up at the calendar, and really? I didn't know yesterday was a holiday. I asked her what holiday it was. 'Ma'am I can't remember, but we were closed.'

SERIOUSLY? What am I missing!? Yesterday was a holiday?
