Never say Never

How far along? 26 weeks 4 days
Total weight gain/loss: 12 lbs gained
Sleep: Some nights I sleep really well, and some nights all I can do is toss and turn.
Food cravings: Billy Barou Steak Nachos from Moe's, Apple juice, and kickin' chicken sandwiches from Zaxby's
Best moment this week: receiving the swing that Sara bought for Adelei!
Movement: She's boxing one day and dancing the next! She's definitely active, but usually when I'm resting. It doesn't bother me though, at least not yet.
Gender: girl!
Stretchies: none, yet.
Belly Button in or out? still in, for now.
What I miss: sleeping on my stomach, eating sushi, regular jeans.
What I am looking forward to: 4D ultrasound.
Symptoms: severe backaches, really swollen feet/ankles.
Milestones: We had her baby shower! Only a few things left to get :)
Weekly wisdom: People really had me worried about the drink for the glucose test, but it honestly wasn't that bad. A little sweeter than juice! I would suggest the fruit punch flavor.
Emotions: very excited!

A Kindle? A Nook?

I have a question for all of you avid readers.
I've really been wanting an e-reader. I don't have the funds to get one right now, but I want to go ahead and do my research so I'll be ready when the time comes.
Which one is the best? Tell me the good, the bad, and the ugly.
Because if I'm going to spend THAT much money, I want to make sure I'm getting something great.

Since my sister never blogs anymore...

Today my sister found out that she is having a girl, too! She is due just a little over a month after me. Nanny has already bought our girls matching outfits, and told me earlier that she is happy she is going to have another Cassie and Jamie.
This whole thing is so surreal!
I can't wait to meet OUR babies!

P.S. I'm looking for more mommy blogs to follow, so if you have any recommendations, please let me know!

Apparently I'm glowing

This past Saturday was my baby shower.
I was really scared that no one was going to show up because only like 4 people [out of 75] RSVP'd.
But I was wrong...and slightly overwhelmed!
A ton of people showed up! It was so exciting.
I got to see friends that I haven't seen in a looong time, and some that I see pretty regularly.
I got a lot of advice, heard some pretty funny stories, got asked a million times how to pronounce her name, and was asked several times 'are you sure you're ready for this?'
Yes, I'm ready.
We are so blessed to have so many people that care about us and want to be a part of our child's life. She got so many gifts! Mostly clothes, a few toys, a bath tub, lots of towels and wash cloths, a gazillion blankets, a few bibs, a car seat/stroller combo, and lots of other odds and ends.
Aaron and I even got a gift....
The Flip SlideHD so we can capture all her cute moments.

Other than the gifts, it was all about the food. We had SO much food it was ridiculous, but I was happy there was [more than] enough for everyone. From roast beef sandwiches and tuna sandwiches, to rotel dip with all kinds of different chips, to....THE cake.
My...father in law's girlfriend or fiance or whatever had it specially made.
Not only was it cute as could be, it was SO delicious.
It's a good thing we had left overs, because just thinking about it makes me want a piece right now!

Survival

Today marks the end of my FIRST week interning at the high school.
I can't get into it on here, but all I'm hoping to do is survive....with a grade good enough to graduate.
The past three days [during school hours] have been spent reading Water for Elephants. I finished it today during 5th period, so I had 2 periods to go with nothing to do.
I am definitely recommending this book to any and everyone who has the time to read it. I have had it sitting on my book shelf for at least 6 months, but haven't gotten around to it until now. My biggest motivation? The fact that the movie is coming out soon.
As for the book, there was just enough drama to keep me flipping the pages. And just enough sexual content to keep me from getting bored.
The book as a whole was very interesting, maybe because I used to want to be in the circus.
So check it out. It's worth it.
Plus, don't you want to know what happens in the book in case you're too distracted by Robert Pattinson's good looks to actually pay attention to what's happening in the movie?
That's what I thought.

Spoiler Alert

Today, while Mr. O was visiting me, we decided to do a vlog about the high [and low] parts of our friendship. But by the time we got done, it was 7+ minutes, and we thought that most people would think that would be too long. SO, we took a Tosh.O approach and made a 'spoiler alert' type video. If you like what you see and/or are curious to see the full version, let me know and we will post it for your viewing pleasure.

Until then:

Bitter Sweet Symphony

Yesterday was my last day at the elementary school.
It was so bittersweet.
There were days that I came home absolutely loving what I do, and some days where I came home wondering what I got myself into.
Next week I will start at the high school.
It's a whole 'nother world.
Oh well. 8 more weeks until I'm done with the whole thing.
This weekend I'm just relaxing. There are a lot of things I COULD be doing, but honestly, I just need a break. If I get some motivation later, then so be it.

I stole this idea from Melissa at Days filled with Love. She just had her bundle of joy! Go check her out.
