Easy Creamy Guacamole Dip

For the longest time I hated guacamole.
Mostly because who ever was making it obviously didn't know what they were doing.
It was only a few months ago that I realized how much I actually love it....when I make it myself.
Okay, I'm totally not trying to sound self righteous, I just know what I like.
So, if you've had bad experiences with guacamole, maybe it's time you try it a new way.

Start off with:
1 ripe avocado, diced
1 tablespoon of mayonnaise
[try to stay away from miracle whip...it will make it too sweet]
1 tablespoon of sour cream
1/4 teaspoon of lemon juice
[I use the lemon juice from a bottle]
1/8 teaspoon paprika
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
[if you elect to use garlic salt instead, do not add extra salt until you taste]
salt & pepper to taste
[avocados are really bland...so if you don't add enough seasoning, you will most likely NOT like it]

Put your diced avocado into a medium bowl. If you have a potato masher, I would suggest using it to create more of a paste. If you LIKE the chunkiness, leave it.
Next, add all other ingredients EXCEPT for salt and pepper. Stir until all is mixed in. It is important that you taste the dip before adding salt and pepper, just so you will know how much it needs. I suggest adding a little bit of salt at a time until you reach the amount that is perfect to you. Add the pepper, and serve [with chips and salsa or tacos]!

Not only is this recipe is so easy to make, it's also really cheap to make, and WAY better than store bought.

I used to REFUSE to taste guacamole and avacados only because it looks like something you find in a baby's diaper. I finally gave in and it's pretty much my favorite food in the entire world. Even avacados, I buy them and eat them plain all the time.
