Identity Crisis.

Just wanted to take a moment to thank those of you who have spread the word about my give away! It has really helped a lot. Keep in mind, there is still time [winner is posted Saturday], so tell all your friends!!

Those of you who have been following me know that I'm getting married in 18 days.

Here's the problem.

Do I want to be
Jamie Keith Altgilbers
or just
Jamie Altgilbers

I've been contemplating this for quite a while.
To drop my last name, or not.

I just feel like that's who I am...do I want to totally lose that?

So what are your thoughts?
Pro's, Con's?
Your story?

I need advice.

I am totally keeping my last name. I'm hoping to marry someone with some lame last name like Smith or something that'd they'd be willing to change haha it's not unheard of... I'd go with they hypen though at first and then feel it out.

Jeanette - if my last name were Benzie, I would keep it, too.
BEST LAST NAME EVER.

Matt - I can't really trust your judgement. HA j.k.

I changed my name. It was a bit of a wrench but our names would not have worked as a double barrelled last name. Plus I wanted to totally embrace becoming a new family with T and for me keeping my last name would have been holding something back from that. It's hard to let it go though!

Well you probably know my thoughts already. I like Jamie Altgilbers. But you know you could always keep all four names and by Jamie T-- Keith Altgilbers.

I had a really tough time with this too. I am incredibly proud of my last name, where I come from, etc. Then I realized that changing my last name doesn't make me any less of who I am and I decided to take my husbands. I don't regret it at all.

Good luck with your decision!
