Let's give 'em something to blog about....

Kami must be a mind reader. Just yesterday I was thinking, 'I really want to blog, but have nothing remotely interesting to say.'
Kami fixed that.

This morning Aaron woke me up like this....
'Jamie, Come look at what Kami did last night'

NOT a good way to start the day.
Apparently she got bored. I heard her scratching at our door around 1 am, and I went to put her back in her bed and I scolded her. I'm sure she waited til I was asleep to let the fun begin.

She got into the basket that I keep my potatoes in and pulled them all into the living room. Then, she demolished them. I don't mean that she ate them, she literally gnawed them to pieces, and then strew the pieces all around the room.
I was so pissed off.
Of course, Aaron didn't stick around. As soon as he woke me up, he ran and got in the shower. So I cleaned it all up BY MYSELF, which pissed me off even more.

I wish I would have taken pictures to show you all just how bad it was, but my head wasn't in the right place.

We've gone back and forth about getting a large cage for her to stay in at night and when we have to leave for more than an hour or two. We were on the verge of getting one about a month ago, but then she turned into this little angel. She wasn't tearing anything up [other than her toys], wasn't using the bathroom in the house, wasn't getting into our stuff. But now she is again.
What do you guys think we should do? Have any of you had this problem before? How did you fix it?

Sorry man, but this is hilarious. Wait until you have kids and it gets quiet. Do you have any idea how hard it is to clean up dishsoap from the kitchen floor? Without water because that just makes bubbles?

We had a dog named Willie, who was totally my dog and loved me the best, but one Easter he ate our Easter baskets. My mom left them on the coffee table and Willie ate the basket, the candy, the grass, the plastic eggs, the new makeup and earrings I got, Travis's new nerf gun thing, evertying.

And then he pooped. He pooped easily 300 times, all over the house in small piles. Our Easter was spent cleaning up dog poop while my mom was so pissed she refused to come out of her room. It was hilarious and disgusting. Travis and I will never forget that Easter. LOL!!

So sorry to hear about the mess. I had xdogs about 5 yrs ago, my ex-husband (husband at the time) thought it was cruel to cage dogs......well after they pee, poop and chew up furniture, walls, clothes, trash, etc., it is time to cage them when you aren't home. Just my opinion.....I've had great dogs in my early years and never caged them but some are more restless. I also recommend more walks or runs outside. They usually do that stuff because they are bored or have excess energy.

2 things:

1) I sang a long to the title of this post

2) Kami is acting out cuz she misses me, that's all.

Sorry, but I have no helpful advice at all. I quite like dogs but this is just the kind of thing that means I will never ever have one of my own!

I think a large cage is in order - at least for when you're gonna be gone for a long period. We have a small Maltese, but he can be an inquisitive little terror when he puts his mind to it :) so we had to get a cage for him.
