You know what sucks?
Having a UTI.
UGH!
The Dr. said that I had the highest levels [of whatever it is they test for], and if I would have waited even a day longer, I would have had to be hospitalized because the infection would have spread to my kidneys.
But instead, I'm taking antibiotics for the next week and HOPE that is goes away.
Wish me luck.

Taking Care of Business...blog style.
A while back I 'protected' my tweets because people I know in real life were finding me, and well....I didn't want them to. Not that I have anything to hide, but I feel like through my twitter they could have found my blog, and my blog is my escape from reality. Only a few people that I know IRL know about my blog.
As lame as that may sound, I had to cut them off.
Recently, I realized that I never really got in to twitter. I mean, I tried, but I wasn't hardcore. After the initial excitement of it wore off, I kind of just stopped doing it.
I guess the reason I'm telling you all is because I've gotten several requests from new followers who also want to follow my twitter account. I'm going to soon deactivate it [since I never think to use it anymore]. Don't think I'm ignoring you! I just haven't updated it in 14 forevers, and I'm going to delete my account soon.
On to the good stuff....
The winners of the Relaxation Packages are:
Lin @ Linny's Vault
with Package #1
and Jennifer @ Near the tracks
with Package #2
Will the winners please leave a comment on this post with your email address, so I can get your packages out to you soon?!
Thank you to everyone who entered, and everyone who tweeted or posted about it!

The Caped Crusader and other news
We recently found out that Kami has some kind of skin allergy.
Our vet wants a lot of money to find out what it is and treat her for it, so instead, I decided to do some research.
Apparently it is very common in lab mixes and people just treat it with benadryl. I asked a vet tech about it and they agreed this is a good idea, so I went with it......only it takes a few days for the medicine to actually kick in.
So, instead of buying Kami an outfit, I tied Jackson's old blanket around her neck to keep her from chewing on herself...
AND SHE LOVED IT.
Seriously, after that she played for hours [.........or at least until she got tangled up in it and I had to take it off of her.]
Here she is, about to save the world.
...or atleast a turtle.
In other news...
As soon as I press 'publish post', this will be my 200th blog post!
I am so excited. I know, most of you are probably like 'who cares', but this is a big thing for me.
I've actually stayed committed to something [other than a male] for a really long time!
So, to celebrate I'm having a give away.

Just heard a knock on the door...
and guess who it was?
THE UPS MAN!
And guess what he brought?
MY PERFUME!
I feel like I've worked really hard this semester, and I really wanted to treat myself to something nice. Since I've been using the SAME Britney Spears' perfume for the past 3 years, I decided I needed a change.
You see, once upon a time, my sister went to Belgium.
She brought us all back presents, and one of mine was a sample of Lolita Lempicka perfume.
I fell in love. Seriously, I used that sample until it was all gone, and I searched high and low for more. For the longest time, I couldn't find it any where in the states, and to order it online and have it shipped here would have cost an arm and a leg. I eventually gave up.
Until last week.
It was like destiny.
I had a few gift cards for fragrancenet.com, so I decided to check it out. I honestly didn't think I'd find it, but there it was, in all it's glory.
It retails for $65, but on the site I got it for $35, plus free shipping. You guys...I don't think I've been this happy in a long time. [what can I say...it's the simple things in life] I couldn't help but
So Thank you Cassie for introducing me to it, thank you fragrancenet for having it [and selling it at such a good price], thank you swagbucks for the gift cards.
Life is good.

Work in Progress
If you haven't checked out Sara's blog lately, you should.
I am sponsoring a give away for her, and in turn, she is helping me get my name out there!
I really need to be producing more art work, selling, getting shows, etc. but it's hard when no one knows who you are. So, go check out her blog, join the give away extravaganza, and spread the word!
I also wanted to take a minute to say Hello to all my new followers!!
And, I just wanted to let you all know, if you see pieces in my portfolio that are not for sale, or you don't also see in my etsy, it's okay to email me [jaksart@rocketmail.com]. If it was a one of a kind, I could do something similar for you. If it's a photograph, just give me the dimensions, and I can have one printed for you, and if it's a print, there is a chance I may still have one.
That being said...
Here are some things I'm working on right now:
Hope you all have a great week!!

Simple Sunday
Seeing all this cute easter stuff every where made me want to decorate my apartment. And then, I saw this cute centerpiece that my sister made, and it inspired me even more!

Boys and their toys...are annoying.
Remember last year, when Aaron got his new car?
Well, like most guys, it quickly became 'his baby'.
He has been talking NONSTOP about all these things he wants to do to it [most of it is greek to me]
He absolutely needed new tires, which he got, but he did not absolutely need these top of the line sport performance tires that he got that cost over $500.
So, when we got our tax returns back, he asked me if I thought it would be a good idea to get his windows tinted. *sigh* Obviously, I didn't care, as long as it wasn't going to cost us an arm and a leg. He called around, got estimates, and whatdaya know...this one place just happened to be having a sale on their tint this week.
I will say, I wasn't bothered, only because it was pretty cheap [$170, with a life time warrenty]. What bothered me is that now that Aaron 'started' with his car modifications, he doesn't want to stop.
For instance...he went to autozone today and got new head lights. I know, you're probably like 'What's wrong with that, don't you want him to see at night?'
And the answer is..Yes, I do. But here is what you don't understand. Aaron didn't NEED them. He didn't need new ones, period, but especially not these really fancy ones that he decided to get.
'But Jamie, they're only $20'
So I didn't feel that bad.
Til I saw the receipt.
$20 A PIECE.
AND HE NEEDED FOUR.
You do the math.
Come on, make me feel better. Is there anything you think is completely ridiculous that your boyfriend/husband/significant other likes to blow his money on?

I hope you dance
Spring break is over. It went by all too quickly.
Besides getting a tattoo, we went to the beach...
Our hotel was amazing,
I found out that the Jersey Shore cast was going to be at this certain hotel/restaurant while we were there........AND NO ONE WOULD LET ME GO. Okay, you can judge me all you want. I just wanted to have my picture taken with snooki.
We ate a lot of good food, saw a random drunk guy's butt, tried to ignore abortion activists, watched the guys go go-kart racing, drank a little hunch punch, and of course went shopping!
I spent the rest of my spring break helping my grandmother renovate the trailer that she rents.
And tomorrow.................school starts back [yuck]
So, today will be spent being as lazy as possible ;)
Hope you guys have a great day!

And before you ask.....honestly, it didn't really hurt...it kind of felt good [as weird and deranged as that probably sounds].
Anyways, I probably won't be posting much for the next week or so, but don't miss me too much. I'll be back!
