Pregnancy Blues

I think I mentioned last week about how our air conditioner at work broke.
I was under the impression that it was going to be fixed the next time I worked, but it wasn't.
I spent Tuesday and Wednesday with floor fans around me and a mist-er in front of one fan to keep myself cool.
I left Wednesday afternoon looking like Violet from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory [only red in the face instead of blue]
I mean look, this Alabama heat is NOT a joke.
[It's times like these where I wish that I had my own pool.]
Needless to say, I'm not going to be working again for a while.
My hands were so swollen, I had to soak them in ice cold water for 30 minutes to get my wedding ring off. [yes, I've been drinking water like nobody's business. it is not helping the cause.]
In other news, my doctor told me today that I am measuring 'too big' and wants me to have an ultrasound the next time I come in to make sure that everything is okay.
It 'could be' the heat. Or not.
That doesn't much give me peace of mind for the next week until I go back.

So what are you guys doing this weekend?

This heat sucks...period...and I want my own pool too! Too bad they're too expensive! Will be praying for you and Adelei during the next week! If you need anything, don't hesitate! :) BTW, I think you're adorable pregnant...and I love your hair cut!

Ugh! That's not fun any time, but especially when you're pregnant.

I'm sure it's just the heat. Though, when I was pregnant last time with my daughter (due in Dec.) I still gained 20 lbs of water weight. Ugh, no fun!!!!

Enjoy the air conditioning at home.

Don't worry about measuring big- those things are estimates. They just like to check to be safe. My doctor said that to me last time I came in too but when I went on Tuesday the midwife said I was measuring normally again & had nothing to worry about.

Don't you worry about the baby. Dude- your like a giant marshmallow in heat.. it happens. You are fine and so is the baby. But dang... take maternity leave now. This is redonkulous. They can't even expect you to work like that so give them the middle finger and sit in front of your freezer babe!

Second, asked to be induced. Seriously. I know women want to go all natural but you're in teh last weeks of your pregnancy, it's hotter than the seventh ring of Hell, and your baby will be fine. By the end of my time with Jackson I was so huge and miserable that I demanded to be induced (if labor didn't start on it's own) on Friday (my appt was Monday). I was induced and had him a few hours later. It was glorious. :)
