Since Aaron is leaving soon for training, we decided to start looking for places to stay, as our lease will be up on our current apartment. Also, since there will be nothing left to keep us in the city, we are going to move back to my home town during this transitional period.
In 22 days, Adelei and I will be moving into a small house closer to 'home'.
There are obvious perks.
It will be nice to be closer to work & closer to family. No more driving an hour back & forth every week. Since we'll be saving so much money on rent/gas, I can cut back my hours at work, which means more quality time with my daughter & family.
I'm not going to lie, though. It's going to be weird at first. We've lived in this same apartment since 2009. Some of our greatest memories happened here.
But this is my life as an army wife.
Packing up, moving on, but not leaving our memories behind.

Good luck with everything! I'm glad you guys will get to be closer to family for a while.
Good luck with your move! And the best part about a new place to live is you get to make all new memories there :)
