I'm in a funk, and I really need help getting out of it.
I'm actually getting a break, I should be enjoying it.
Instead, all I can do is think about all the things that I need to get done before Adelei gets here....
I've been trying to organize her room, and it's getting so overwhelming. Yesterday I found myself just sitting in there, staring into space because I just didn't know what else to do. I mean, I have a list a mile long of things I need to do, but where to start?
So I abandoned it.
I went to watch t.v. thinking it would help me relax.
But all it did was make me feel guilty for not being productive.
So I went to clean my bedroom, mostly my computer/crafting desk.
It took me several hours because I was going through everything.
I felt like my life needed cleaning up.
I was holding on to things that I needed to get rid of for a long time, and I finally had the umph to do so.
I felt like a weight lifted off my shoulders.
But then today rolled around.
I have so many items on my to-do list while I actually have some free time, but here it is, almost 5 pm, and I haven't done even 1 productive thing today.
Even my husband can tell something is not quite right.
So tell me, how do you get yourself out of a funk? Or do you just let it run it's course?

I've so been there! This is me every Friday (my day off), I swear all week that when Friday rolls around I'm going to get everything on my to do list done but the truth is that I dont get anything done. Most of the time I consider it a good thing if I've taken a shower before 2pm lol.
I say you roll with it and relax!
It's the hormones honey. Just get yourself some ice cream and a good movie or make Aaron take you somewhere nice for dinner or something.
When I am in a funk I feel the need to change stuff and I usually turn my life upside down and make things worse than they were to begin with. Lesson-don't be like me. I think you will probably get through it just fine. If you're stressed maybe you need time to do nothing...just for a day or so.
I too share your "funk"! I've promised myself that I will do one fun thing everyweekend... maybe you could do something like that, promise yourself that if you, say, get at least half of your "to do list" done, you get to go buy some chocolate, or spend an hour watching crap tv, whatever you like. hope youre funk turns into rainbows on unicorns soon :)
I think it's just stress hun. Seriously- you have a LOT going on and coming up and I think it's just getting to you. So I think that you should just focus on one thing, like Adelei's room. I bet once you get everything put away and totally ready-- that will help you. And definitely take timem for you because that won't happen in a few months :)
They say that the hardest part of anything is starting! Soo true for so many things! You just gotta start and the rest comes easier.
Maybe put a few small things on your to-do list that you can cross off without getting overwhelmed. I think I kind of sit in stress until I'm done with it, and that's probably not healthy. So do something that makes you happy, productive or not. :)
