One Last Beach Trip

With less than a week left here, we decided to make a last minute trip to the beach. It's only an hour & a half away, and that's something that we won't be able to do in Oklahoma.

It was Adelei's first time. My rationale of 'she loves the pool, so she'll love the ocean' was insanely incorrect.

She hated it.

The water, the sand......all of it made her cry. hysterically.

I felt so defeated.

All of my expectations were crushed & I honestly just felt like a bad mom for even thinking that it was a good idea.

After only spending 20 minutes on the beach, we left. Went to the local outdoor mall, found bathrooms to change in, and spent the rest of the day shopping, eating, and just enjoying ourselves.

Mini Vacay

This week was the very last spring break ever for my hubby.So of course we had to say good bye to the last of our college days in style.

Monday morning we dropped Adelei off with her grandmother [it was very hard for me to do]

and then headed to Destin for a few days.

Highlights of the trip:

*Hard Rock Cafe

*more shopping :)

*the best shake ever, at Johnny Rocket's

*being competitive at putt putt golf w. the hubby

*Joe's Crab Shack hot crab dip

*holding hands, walking on the beach with the love of my life

*feeling 18 again

Spring break is over. It went by all too quickly.
Besides getting a tattoo, we went to the beach...







Our hotel was amazing,




I found out that the Jersey Shore cast was going to be at this certain hotel/restaurant while we were there........AND NO ONE WOULD LET ME GO. Okay, you can judge me all you want. I just wanted to have my picture taken with snooki.

We ate a lot of good food, saw a random drunk guy's butt, tried to ignore abortion activists, watched the guys go go-kart racing, drank a little hunch punch, and of course went shopping!



I spent the rest of my spring break helping my grandmother renovate the trailer that she rents.

And tomorrow.................school starts back [yuck]
So, today will be spent being as lazy as possible ;)

I'm back in Troy, after a much needed mini-vacation, and a dreaded cold. The beach was quite nice, and I wish I could have stayed longer. Georgia was good, too, minus the sickness.



We had an amazing time at a concert where we saw 10 years, the Leo Project, and Adelita's Way. they were even nice enough to take pictures with us. Although, my FAVORITE picture is on my friend's camera. haha, I'll post it later.




I even saw Brody Jenner. I mean, I didn't go up and talk to him or anything, but hey, I was star struck ;)



Now, it's back to reality. Back to all the art projects and writing lesson plans, for the next month or so. Hope your spring break is as exciting as mine was!!
