You know how Picasso had the blue period?
Well, I must be having a childhood fantasy period, because I keep painting things like this:
& I keep creating things like this:
& as much as my husband laughs at me for it, I don't care.
I'm currently working on a water color series titled 'Today, I am....'
and an acrylic landscape series titled 'Wish you were here.'
One thing I realized that I haven't been doing like I should be.....reading.
I bought/traded SO many books this summer thinking that I would be reading non stop. I read 4 books before I got too busy, and somewhere along the way I forgot to start back.
So, my goal is to read AT LEAST 3o minutes a day, every single day. I know it's not a lot, but it's definitely better than going weeks/months without picking up a book.
Any suggestions for good reads?

"Shiver" and then "Linger" by Maggie Stiefvater. I promise you that with both of those you'll be hooked and reading for more than 30 minutes. Plus they are fast reads so you'll feel accomplished. Another book I liked and have been wanting to buy so I can re-read again and again is "The Girl She Used To Be" by Michael Cristofano. That was a good book even though I felt sad for the characters. But I read it..maybe a year or two ago? Right when it had come out and I still think about it.
The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins. It's really awesome, I'm reading the third one right now.
Hi Jaime,
Those paintings are very whimsical and would be lovely for a little girl's room. Perhaps put them on Etsy?
I just read One Day, by David Nicholls and thought it was great. Story of two friends that follows their relationship on the same day every day for two decades.
Visiting from the BlogFrog Back to Blogging challenge.
Have a great day. :-)
30 minute goal is a good one, I should do that too. Although I feel like I wouldn't haha
