Since I've promised myself to get healthy, I decided to plan our meals for the week. I never believed in planning meals before. Mostly because I am indecisive, and I like to wait until the last minute to choose. I have done a lot of research on healthy eating plans, and I couldn't decide on just one, so I am picking & choosing. It's actually really great. Usually, we spend about 50-60$ on groceries, because we just don't know for sure what we want, so we get a bunch of stuff....and sometimes those things end up going bad before we think to use them. This week we only spent 32$ and only got what we needed for THIS week's meals/snacks.
On the menu for this week:Stuffed Eggplant with Brown Rice
Hot and Sour Asian Lettuce Wraps
Turkey Meatloaf
As I was researching, I found an article that said you shouldn't totally cut all of your guilty pleasures out, just cut them down. I've decided to allow myself ONE glass of sweet tea a day.
Granted, this sweet tea isn't even what I consider real sweet tea, so it's not MUCH of a cheat, but still.

SoySlender Chocolate Soy Milk
Nature Valley Sweet & Salty Granola Bar

I fucking love the sweet & salty bars- but the peanut ones are my fav!
I also now like those fiber one bars but the blue box so it's like chocolate & oat or something. It's really good and does not taste like cardboard. Or ass.
I wish i could buy all that for $32. that just makes me wanna move south even more! food up here is so expensive, its like robbery!
This is why eating healthy sucks. None of that sounds good to me

What a great shopper/planner you are to have spent $32 for your grocery shopping this week! That's fab. I used to do that when the kids were younger and didn't eat much at all and I would feel so proud of myself for stretching our dollars so far.
